Personal Care Attendant Registry

The registry on this web page has information about Personal Care Attendants (PCAs) currently seeking work in Rhode Island. 

PCAs help older adults or individuals with disabilities with: 

  • Household duties like mail sorting, cleaning, or laundry 
  • Shopping and meals 
  • Bathing, dressing, or grooming 
  • Transportation (optional) 

PCAs must: 

  • Be over 18
  • Be Certified in CPR and First Aid 
  • Complete a free online orientation to the Personal Care Program, provided by the state. 

If contacted by a prospective employer, PCAs must complete an interview and background check. Pay rates are determined by each employer based on the level of care requested.
