EOHHS Appeals Office

The EOHHS Appeals Office conducts administrative appeals hearings in accordance with the requirements of State law.

Medicaid Appeals and Fair Hearings 
EOHHS has sought federal approval to temporarily delay scheduling non-emergency fair hearing appeals and issuance of fair hearing decisions for 60 days or until the termination of the COVID 19 declaration of emergency, whichever is longer. All emergency expedited hearings will be scheduled and heard telephonically. If needed, recipients impacted by COVID-19 may be given more time to submit an appeal through their health plan or request a fair hearing.
