Fair Hearing - How to Request Without Web (Mail, Call, Visit) While the customer portal (healthyrhode.ri.gov and the HealthyRhode mobile app) is not available, fair hearings can only be requested by phone, in person, or by mail. To file an appeal regarding Medicaid and Purchased Health Coverage through HealthSource RI, call HealthSource RI at 1-855-840-HSRI (4774). For questions about filing an appeal for human services programs such as SNAP, RIW, Child Care, GPA, or SSP call the Department of Human Services at 1-855-MY-RI-DHS (1-855-697-4347).To request a fair hearing in person, please visit your nearest DHS office. Legislative Updates During each session of the Rhode Island General Assembly, there is an EOHHS Interagency Legislative team of representatives from all four departments, major programs and the Governor’s office. This team monitors bills and budget articles affecting our agencies and all Rhode Islanders. Summaries of key EOHHS legislative initiatives prepared by the Legislative Team will be posted as they become available throughout the session. Important Links Rhode Island General Assembly - The General Assembly homepage provides information on all legislative matters including bill status/text, daily floor calendars, House/Senate Committee agendas. Rhode Island General Laws - All Rhode Island general laws are categorized by title and chapter number. Capitol TV - Archived General Assembly floor sessions, committee hearings and other educational legislative programming can be found on Capitol TV. There is also a live channel available for online, real time streaming. Senate Fiscal Reports - The Senate Fiscal Office provides nonpartisan fiscal analysis as well as research and analytical support to all members of the Senate. House Fiscal Reports - The House Fiscal Office provides detailed budget analysis including briefings, presentations and fiscal notes. National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) - The NCSL is a bipartisan organization that serves the legislators and staffs of the nation's 50 states, its commonwealths and territories. NCSL provides research, technical assistance and opportunities for policymakers to exchange ideas on the most pressing state issues.
