Fair Hearing - How to Request Without Web (Mail, Call, Visit) While the customer portal (healthyrhode.ri.gov and the HealthyRhode mobile app) is not available, fair hearings can only be requested by phone, in person, or by mail. To file an appeal regarding Medicaid and Purchased Health Coverage through HealthSource RI, call HealthSource RI at 1-855-840-HSRI (4774). For questions about filing an appeal for human services programs such as SNAP, RIW, Child Care, GPA, or SSP call the Department of Human Services at 1-855-MY-RI-DHS (1-855-697-4347).To request a fair hearing in person, please visit your nearest DHS office. Scheduling A Trip Rhode Island’s Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Services Rhode Island's publicly-funded Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) services are provided through our vendor, Medical Transportation Management, Inc. (MTM). MTM coordinates with qualified transportation providers to offer this important benefit for Medicaid members who need to get to and from Medicaid-covered services but have no means of transportation. MTM also provides transportation to Rhode Island residents 60 years of age and older who do not have access to transportation for non-emergency medical appointments and certain other services. MTM provides monthly bus passes to TANF/RI Works recipients. To schedule a trip with MTM, please call 1-855-330-9131 Phone line for the deaf and hearing impaired (TTY): 711 MTM accepts calls for routine appointments Mondays through Fridays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. MTM requires at least 48 hours' notice (two (2) business days, excluding weekends and holidays) to schedule a trip. Please schedule your trip as soon as you have your medical appointment. Same-day trips are available for urgent care as needed. Members may call to request transportation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For emergency transportation, please call 911.
